M.A.C MATTE LADY DANGER LIPSTICK REVIEW and SWATCHES.

Hello Everyone,This is my second review for a MAC Product.So the product today is the most known ,famous and talked about shade MAC Matte lipstick "Lady Danger".(my personal all time favorite Shade :) ) Have already reviewed one more M.A.C lipshade Matte VIVA GLAM 3 MAC MATTE VIVA GLAM 3 LIPSTICK REVIEWI have been eyeing on this shade since sooo long and can't wait to share my happiness .Lipstick Category : MatteWhat MAC Claims:Formulated to shade,define and showcase the lips.Hundreds of hues,high fashion textures.The iconic product which made M.A.C Famous.Shade:The shade I am reviewing today is MATTE  LADY  DANGER." Lady Danger "is a gorgeous BOLD Orange  shade with Red undertones .Its a matte finish lipstick which is very smooth and  moisturizing on lips. However I would recommend to exfoliate your lips and apply lip balm underneath lipstick.This shade looks awesome on any and everyone who loves to carry bold colors confidently. This lipsticks are not transfer proof hence transfer a bit.This shade is for all skin tones .

Price : 1500 INR  for 3 gmsPackaging:The  packaging of MAC lipsticks is really cute, travel friendly twist up bullet and unique and most of the brands are coming up with similar packaging.

Pigmentation and Texture:This shade is from Amplified series of M.A.C. Its  insanely  pigmented with high coverage finish in just one swipe.One swipe is enough for a perfect look with minimal make-up just an eye liner and it brightens up your face instantly.When applied they are creamy, but within few minutes of application they settle down to perfect matte .But they are not transfer proof .This shade does not settles in fine lines of lips.It does not bleeds and hence can be applied directly from bullet.Outlining with a liner is not much required.Lips do not feel heavy at all, you wont feel that there is something applied on lips.They are moisturizing but I would recommend to exfoliate your lips and apply lip balm before applying this lipstick since it might  feel bit drying after few hours.This shade has very light vanilla fragrance hence its very comfortable to use as I have sensitive nose.Staying power :The staying power of these lipsticks is around 5-6 hours  with food and drinks break.It sustains for a good time .It starts fading from the center of the lips and leaves a beautiful coral tint on lips.It can be easily removed using cleansing milk/make-up remover or my personal favorite Coconut oil.

Final Take:If you looking for a bold and beautiful shade to grab attention of people around you ,you must try this shade .I am totally in love with this shade .It is perfect for evening and party wear .On days when I dont feel like doing makeup I simply apply this shade and it brightens up my face and makes me feel confident.This is not an office wear shade .However I would recommend a trial before purchasing the shade since it might be very BOLD for few people .So for people who are lipstick junkies like me dont think just give it a try and I am sure you would not regret buying.I would definitely  repurchase it till M.A.C stops making this shade. :)

Poison on Lips!!!Is your lipstick Lead Safe?

Hello EveryoneWhich is your favorite Lipstick brand? Lakme,Maybelline,Loreal,BodyShop,Avon,Oriflame,Miss Claire's???

I am sure there are many lip junkies like me out there.But recently a wattsapp message actually gave me a shock .The message had small test to identify if lipstick contains lead.Since I use lipsticks a lot I quickly took few lipsticks from my vanity and gave this test a try .And to my surprise it does work.And broke my heart!!There was Lead in few brands I had been using since years!! :( Here is the test you can do yourself:Put some lipstick on your hand,Use a 24k-14k Gold ring to scratch on the lipstick.If the lipstick color changes to black then you know the lipstick contains lead

So as you can see in the pic above few colors became black.The brands I tested were Lakme,Maybelline,MAC,Missclaires,7HeavensChubbylipcrayons,Loreal,ELL18The Brands  which failed the test and contains lead are Loreal,7heavens ,Miss-claires and Elle18.Now why is this thing worrying?There are various heavy metals used in lipsticks for increasing their lasting power ,texture and pigmentation.As per FDA only a limit quantity of these metals is allowed in the making.Lets check the harmful effects of various heavy metals in Lipsticks.
Lead : Affects  the nervous system, immune system and the kidneys.  Lead poisoning is difficult to diagnose as it can manifest in may ways including fatigue, insomnia, fertility issues, headache and joint pain, loss of appetite, and irritability.  Children as especially susceptible to lead poisoning.CadmiumCauses kidney damage and possibly also bone effects and fractures.Arsenic Increased risks of skin, bladder, liver, and lung cancer.Mercury Causes damage and disruption to the nervous system.  Chronic poisoning is characterized by neurological and psychological symptoms, such as tremor, changes in personality, restlessness, anxiety, sleep disturbance and depression.Manganese Leads to  nervous system issues and can cause learning difficulties, behavioral changes, brain injury, and slow and clumsy movementsSo coming to Lead Exposure to lead from lipstick is mainly by swallowing, such as licking lips after applying lipstick  .It is nothing but a slow poison which we are inducing in our body by ourselves.As per FDA Analysis exposure to 10 ppm lead from incidental ingestion of cosmetic lip products is very small and cannot be measured in routine blood testing.Exposure to lead from other cosmetics is by absorption through the skin, but the amount absorbed is very small. This means that exposure to lead from a product such as eye shadow or body lotion is even lower than exposure to lead from a lipstick or other lip cosmetic, and also cannot be measured in routine blood testing.Based on these factors, we can say that up to 10 ppm lead in cosmetic lip products and externally applied cosmetics would not pose a health risk.

Packaging:The powder comes is a strong white color plastic packet with details like batch number ,manufacturing date and  customer care number.Inside the packet the powder comes in a zip bag which can be sealed after use.Overall decent packaging.

Directions for use .Since mine is a dry skin, I used the below mixture to apply as face pack.

• 2tbsp charcoal powder.

• 2tbsp honey

• 5-6 drops rosewater

• 1/2 tbspn aloevera gel

Use a soft brush to apply all over face Hands , feet and underarms.

Results:Tadaaaaa ....

My Take:So As you can see there is glow on my face especially cheeks and nose.My face felt so clean and smooth post face wash.Tanning got removed from hands and feet too . :)Definitely  it removed all the dirt and also I could feel that some tan is removed from forehead area.The powder did not cause any sort of irritation,burning sensation or redness.It makes skin soft and clear .I used Patanjali Moisturiser post drying face .Since Mine is dry and sensitive I was skeptical to try ,but I am really impressed with this .Since there is no overnight magic , I would be using this pack once a week now.Overall I am happy with the product and would definitely recommend it to people looking out for trying activated charcoal face packs/masks.A big thumbs up to the product.

DIY: Homemade All Natural Skin Glowing and Lightening packs/mask for face and body.

We all dream of Glowing and Healthy skin.Don't we ?But hormonal imbalance ,weather conditions,water intake and stress results in uneven skintone ,acne ,pigmentation and dull skin.No magic can actually cure these issues overnight agreed! but once a week if we follow simple regimes of 10-15 minutes we are definitely gonna help skin regain its lost charm.Today I am gonna share some secret face pack recipes I usually try on my skin once a week .:)

Ingredients:  2tbspn Fullers earth(multani mitti) , 1tbspn Licorice powder (Mulethi root powder) , 1 pinch Wild turmeric , 1/2 tbspn red sandalwood,1/2 tbspn neem powder rose water to form paste consistancy.
Apply the pack for 15 minutes and wait till it dry completely .Once dry scrub it off and apply light moisturiser.
Benefits: Deep cleanses face, help reduce pigmentation and lightens the complexion.
Recipe2
SkinType: All skin types/Acne prone/dull skin/pigmentation
Ingredients:  2 tbspn Licorice powder (Mulethi root powder) , 2tbspn cucumber paste , 
Apply the pack for 20 minutes and wait till it dry completely .Once dry scrub it off and wash with cold water ,apply light moisturiser.
Benefits: This is the best face pack for summers as it lightens the pigmented skin and cucumber helps in refreshing the skin from deep within.

SkinType: Dry /dull/skin
Ingredients:  2tbspn Fullers earth(multani mitti) , 1tbspn Licorice powder (Mulethi root powder) and honey.
Apply the pack for 15 minutes and wait till it dry completely .Once dry scrub it off and apply light moisturiser.
Benefits: Deep cleanses face, help reduce pigmentation and lightens the complexion and honey provides moisturizing effect to skin.

Ingredients:  2tbspn crushed oats , 1tbspn Licorice powder (Mulethi root powder) , 1 pinch Wild turmeric,1/2 tbspn orange peel powder,1 teaspoon lemon juice, 1/4 tspn green tea extract and honey to form paste
Apply the pack for 15 minutes and wait till it dry completely .Once dry scrub it off and apply light moisturiser.
Benefits: This pack acts as a scrubber and  exfoliates skin very nicely .Deep cleans and give an instant glow :) (My personal favorite pack).

Ingredients:  2tbspn Chickpea flour (besan)  , 1 pinch Wild turmeric , 1 tbspn honey,1/2 tea spoon lemon juice and curd  to form a paste 
Apply the pack for 15 minutes and wait till it dry completely .Once dry scrub it off and wash with lukewarm water and apply light moisturiser.
Benefits: Deep cleanses face ,rejuvenates dull face and keep skin acne free.
Note: Though all the ingredients are natural, but it is recommended to do a patch test to understand any allergic reaction due to any ingredient.

My Take:Lacto Calamine needs no introduction in skincare range.Its loaded with good ingredients and qualities.Its my favorite moisturiser for summers especially since it helps in absorbing excess oil.I have been using it since ages now .It comes in various skin types so people with all skin types can comfortably choose the one best for them.My skin is normal to oily hence it proves very beneficial for me.I am not a foundation person hence always prefer a layer of lacto calamine to give skin a perfect matte look.Its perfect blend of ingredients makes it a multipurpose lotion .The best part of the lotion is that it contains all natural ingredients so people with sensitive skin can use it without a doubt.This is one of the must haves skincare product in my vanity and would definitely recommend people to give it a try once.Big thumbs up for the product.

Dabur Gulabari or Patanjali Divya Gulabjal: Comparison review.

Hello Everyone,So today I have a very interesting product for comparison , Rose water from 2 different brands which I have been using lately.The 2 brands I chose for comparison are Dabur Gulabari and Patanjali Divya Gulab Jal.So first lets see the Ingredients:As its clearly visible Dabur Gulabari is loaded with chemicals and some dangerous ingredients like Parabens too well I wasnt expecting this in Rose water atleast !!! I am disappointed.

On the other hand Divya GulabJal has pure rose water without any chemicals.Price:Divya gulabjal 120ml for 30 INR Only.Dabur Gulabari  100ml for 80 INR !!Color:Dabur Gulabari is light pink in color which is clearly not pure rose water color ,it has added colors to it.Divya gulabjal is transparent liquid with no added colors to it .Uses:Dabur Gulabari:1.Spray on face directly as a toner whenever you  feel tired skin .2.Take the rosewater on cotton bud and clean the face gently.3.Since it contains chemicals its Advised NOT to use in eyes.Divya Gulabjal:1.Use rosewater in face packs, 2.Spray on face or apply with cotton bud to cleanse and tone. 3.Can be used as eye drops in eyes. 4. Mix with glycerin to make personal night cream for soft skin.

I had been using both the rose water in similar lines apart from eyes .So can sum up my final take as below.Dabur Gulabari : I used it as face refresher in day and toner at night.After few seconds of application I could feel that its actually very sticky .I feel very uncomfortable and finally wash face.Rest I am using it in face packs just to finish up the bottle.Divya Gulab Jal:I used it to clean face and mixed in face packs.I did not get any irritation ,burning or sticky sensation post its use.I am happy with this rose water at this affordable range.You can buy Patanjali Divya Gulabjal  from here.However I am very much sure that you wont get pure rose essence in 30INR but its much better than the chemically loaded options available in market.So My Final Vote goes to Divya GulabJal out of two and would definitely not recommend Dabur Gulabari as it contains so many chemicals like Parabens and alchohol.Check my other Patanjali product review in the links below.

My Take:This is my first product purchase from Forest Essentials Brand.But the moment I opened the lid,I knew I am gonna love it!!!.And yes its amazing.It is light yellow (lemonish) in color and has a very sweet smell resembling that of a sugar cane and orange .The texture of scrub is very mild and its not at all harsh on lips.Its soo yummy that I actually ate while scrubbing :P.The scrub removes the dead skin very gently without impacting the lips.It really exfoliates the lips very well  hence lips do not feel dry after using this scrub.It made my lips fresh and plumb .However I still vote for Greenviv Scrub as it instantly makes my lips pink.Good part of this brand is its rich with Ayurvedic  secrets all Natural,Vegan,Cruelty free and handmade what more can you ask today!!I liked this scrub and yes I definitely recommend it to everyone.A must must try !!!.Though on pricy side but totally worth every penny you pay.

Once done dip this tissue in the juice .

Once the tissue is dipped put the tissue on face as a face mask.

DIY:Homemade Deep Conditioning Hair Mask/Spa at home for soft and frizz free hairs.

Hello Everyone,
This summer has taken toll on my hairs.For the first time in so many years I am facing hair frizziness and hairfall.But Even after this I dont go after Fancy Chemical Hair Spa and treatments.I know the natural methods take a lot of time to show results but atleast I am sure what's going in my hairs. :) 
So Today I am sharing an interesting DIY Homemade Hair mask or Hairspa which moisturizes hairs deeply and control frizzy hairs.

Ingredients: 
Fresh Aloe Vera leaves Gel or aloe vera gel ,Castor Oil , Mustard Oil, Vitamin E capsules,Spray Bottle or normal bottle.

Mustard Oil.

Vitamin E Oil

Steps:

Take out fresh gel from 2 Big Aloe Vera Leaves and keep in a bowl.

Mix 4tspn of Mustard Oil and 1tbspn of Castor oil.Cut and Put 2 Vitamin E capsules in the mix.Now Mix the contents in a mixture.You will get a very runny gel .Put the Gel in a bottle /spray bottle and spray on the scalp and hairs nicely.

Once the mix is absorbed nicely by hairs give a nice massage on hairs for 10 minutes.

8.Now cover your hairs with a shower cap and let the mixture sit for nice 2 hours.

9.Wash off hairs with a mild shampoo and conditioner.10.There you have gorgeous shiny hairs .

My Take:Since I avoid Foundations and concealers I have tried possibly all BB Creams in Market.Be it Garnier,Maybelline,Colorbar,LakmeCC and what not.But I must say Pond's BB cream stands out.It has been so far my favorite makeup product I use without hesitation.It has a very soft cream consistency which blends onto skin super fast without making face look like white monkey :) .It absorbs excess oil from face and gives a matte look and feel but does not dries out skin as it has  moisturizing effects.You wont feel that there is a layer of some product on your face which is the best thing.It Works great in summers too as it contains SPF50 which is very useful in protecting skin from Sun's harmful radiation.Pond's BB Cream gives a medium coverage on face so please do not expect it to cover or hide under eye patches and acne marks.It does not work as a concealer.For hiding marks I would recommend to go for a concealer and then apply a layer of this BB Cream.I simply love this cream to the core.It perfect for both summers and winters .Whenever I am going out I apply and then BB Cream. Lacto Calamine Skin Daily Nourishing Lotion Thats all :)  My face it ready to face the day .Simple look created with Pond's BB Cream and Miss Claires Lipcream shade 13

This is one of the must haves skincare product in everyone's  vanity who avoid foundations and want a finish look .Would definitely recommend people to give it a try once.Big thumbs up for the product.
